Samuel Fouracre (b.1977, UK) is an artist, digital content creator and experimental film-maker. '#aboutlastnight' is a still from the video of the same name displayed below. The video is available as both a physical limited edition print on Later Editions and an NFT on OpenSea at the following link: aboutlastnight

Fouracre examines how contemporary technology can be utilised as a narrative device. '#aboutlastnight' depicts an inert figure laying next to an iphone revealing someone’s somewhat convoluted romantic and erotic life. The stream of texts are aggressive, insistent and at the same time sensitive. All action occurs off-screen. Here the specific device (be it a phone, a tablet, a laptop etc) is a portal into multiple narrative possibilities. As the artist observes, “If there is one thing the film teaches us it is, when in company, turn your phone face down!''
