What is a limited edition?
A limited edition is a series of a particular print or multiple (ie. object) produced in a fixed quantity. Later Editions works closely with leading contemporary artists to commission and produce limited edition prints and multiples from either an existing artwork or by creating an entirely new piece.

Are the limited editions signed?
Prints are either hand-signed and numbered by the artist directly onto the print or on an acid-free label that can be attached directly to the artwork's frame. Our editions are also always accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity hand-signed by the artist. In addition, a small number of Artist Proofs (APs) and Printer Proofs (PPs) are produced. These are generally identical to the prints in the main edition. The number of prints is always strictly limited to the number in the edition and the APs and PPs. No further prints are ever produced.

What are originals?
Originals are unique works on paper produced by the artist using varying techniques.

What is an archival pigment print?

Archival pigment prints are printed with specialised large format fine art digital printers using archival pigment inks on archival papers. 

What is a screen print?
Screen prints are printed by manually pressing inks onto the paper through a stencilled mesh screen.

What is an etching?
Etching is a classical printing process dating back centuries consisting in engraving a design into a metal plate which is then used to imprint the inks onto the surface of the paper, thereby creating a print of the design.

What is a lenticular print?
Lenticular printing consists in printing two separate views of an image through a specialised printing process to create a 3D visual effect and a change of appearance depending on the position of the viewer.

How are the editions framed?

Waiting Lists

We encourage you to sign up for waiting lists in order to get notified of a limited edition's upcoming release. While this gives you the opportunity of advance notice of a new release it does not guarantee its availability. Once an edition is launched it is sold on a strictly first come first served basis.

Special launch price
Subscribers to our mailing list get access to new editions first and in some cases have the opportunity to purchase them at special launch prices for a limited time. Please note that only a limited number of each edition are on offer at the special launch price. Once these have been sold and/or the limited time has run out, the special launch price is no longer available and any related discount coupon codes are no longer valid.
