'Fresh Juice', our second collaboration with Korean artist Minyoung Kim epitomises the artist's tongue-in-cheek narratives featuring anthropomorphic domestic objects in ironic situations.

Minyoung Kim’s work mirrors her inner-most feelings, ones that language fails to express. In her works on paper and unstretched canvas she portrays humorous scenes that combine what she refers to as strange but cute elements. It is in this ambivalence, both light and serious, that she explores and reveals her inner self.

Minyoung Kim was born in Seoul in 1989, and lives and works in London. Graduating from The Slade School of Fine Art in 2021, Kim also holds an MFA in printmaking and a BA in Western Painting from Sungshin Women’s University, Seoul, South Korea. Her work was recently the subject of a solo exhibition at Août Gallery in Beirut, Lebanon. Her first exhibition in the UK 'Night Fever' was held in October 2021 at Taymour Grahne Projects, London.
